Summary: We are seeking a reliable and safety-minded Lot Attendant to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining the organization and safety of company parking lots, moving trucks between multiple warehouses within the tri-state area, and assisting operations and dispatch teams as needed. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong customer service, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.
Schedule:
Typically Monday-Friday, 2:00PM-10:00PM. Flexibility is required as shifts may start earlier or end later depending on business needs. Weekends as needed.
Pay:
$17.00-$19.00/hourly
Responsibilities:
- Move company trucks between warehouses and parking lots within the tri-state area.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections and properly document findings.
- Assist Operations and Dispatch with inspecting and verifying truck loads.
- Distribute materials and maintain accurate records for end-of-shift reporting.
- Assist with parking lot upkeep, including removing garbage, boxes, and other refuse.
- Remind crews to return trucks in clean condition and document truck condition upon return.
- Perform basic maintenance and repairs (e.g., replacing mirrors, installing plates, etc.).
- Drive trucks to and from repair shops when needed.
- Monitor material disposal to minimize waste and ensure a clear and organized lot.
- Maintain communication with Dispatch and Operations.
- Work safely in all weather conditions and assist with vehicle maneuvering and safety.
- Maintain consistent attendance and professional behavior aligned with company values.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class D driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Commercial Driver's License preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience driving and parking vans, commercial trucks, or tractor trailers.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform physical labor outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong customer service skills, always respectful, understanding, and courteous.
- Basic mechanical ability and willingness to learn simple repairs.
- Strong organizational and communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Team player with flexibility to work changing schedules, weekends, and long hours as needed.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
