Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Overnight Parking Lot Attendant to join our operations team. This role is essential in keeping our lots organized, safe, and fully operational overnight. The Parking Lot Attendant is responsible for moving and inspecting trucks, assisting with fueling, ensuring all vehicles are secure, and keeping the lot clean and orderly.
This position requires someone dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently during overnight hours.
Schedule:
Typically Monday-Friday, 10:00PM-07:00AM. Flexibility is required as shifts may start earlier or end later depending on business needs. Weekends as needed.
Pay:
$17.00-$19.00 an hour.
Responsibilities:
- Move company trucks between warehouses and parking lots within the tri-state area.
- Ensure all trucks are parked safely and returned in clean condition.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections and properly document findings.
- Assist with fueling trucks, and perform basic maintenance and repairs (e.g., replacing mirrors, installing plates, etc.).
- Distribute materials and maintain accurate records for end-of-shift reporting.
- Assist with parking lot upkeep, including removing garbage, boxes, and other refuse.
- Monitor and report any truck or lot damage, safety hazards, or suspicious activity.
- Keep entryways and driveways clear for vehicle movement.
- Work safely in all weather conditions and assist with vehicle maneuvering and safety.
- Maintain consistent attendance and professional behavior aligned with company values.
- Secure the lot and ensure all trucks and materials are properly locked and accounted for before end of shift.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class D driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL a plus).
- Minimum 1 year of experience driving and parking vans, commercial trucks, or tractor trailers.
- Ability to safely maneuver large trucks in and out of tight spaces.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs.
- Strong customer service skills, always respectful, understanding, and courteous.
- Basic mechanical ability and willingness to learn simple repairs.
- Strong organizational and communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
