Summary: The Branch Manager is responsible for all activities and personnel onsite, including but not limited to the warehouse, office, vehicles, dispatching, etc.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Leads operations, oversees activities such as dispatching, tracking, and field monitoring, providing steadfast support to our dedicated teams.
- Takes the helm in the recruitment, hiring, and leadership of our expanding team, comprising of helpers, drivers, and warehouse associates.
- Ensures strict adherence to company guidelines across all operational facets.
- Upholds exemplary standards in the wrapping, packing, and transportation of household goods to mitigate any potential damages.
- Enforces quality control measures for both warehouse operations and overall processes.
- Assumes responsibility for investigating customer complaints pertaining to deliveries and related challenges.
- Fosters strategic partnerships with vendors, skillfully negotiating for optimal quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Strong collaboration and partnerships with other departments to fortify organizational cohesion.
- Exhibits proficiency in generating reports and measuring activities while ensuring accurate inventory management for both inbound and outbound goods.
- Collaborates closely with the CFO to adeptly manage budgets, aligning financial objectives with organizational targets.
- Upholds a commitment to maintaining a secure work environment, prioritizing safety as a paramount concern.
- Systematically organizes and maintains inventory and storage areas, ensuring optimal efficiency.
- Validates the accuracy of shipments and inventory transactions, perpetuating a culture of precision.
- Facilitates seamless communication with customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Identifies areas for improvement and institutes innovative solutions or refines existing procedures for enhanced efficacy.
- Oversees the opening and closing procedures of the warehouse, assuming a pivotal role in its operational rhythm.
- Contributes to the creation and maintenance of daily and weekly reports, ensuring comprehensive documentation.
- Facilitates training initiatives for employees, imparting essential knowledge to fulfill job responsibilities and attain safety objectives.
- Monitors job performance diligently, collaborating with the Warehouse Director and HR to address any deficiencies proactively.
- Assumes responsibility for the reporting and management of accidents, employing a proactive approach to prevention.
- Provides support in various capacities as needed, embodying a versatile and collaborative approach within the organizational framework.
- Any other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 5-15 years of experience in a moving industry is required
- Leading and managing teams, storage facility, and working with long-distance relocations is essential
- Proficiency with technology (CRM, Microsoft, etc)
- Strong communication skills
- Strong ability to multi-task
- Friendly and upbeat demeanor
- Must be a team player and flexible with changing schedules
- Self-starter who gets things done with minimal direction
- Fluent English speaking/reading/writing skills
