Summary: We are seeking an experienced, reliable, and safety-conscious Forklift Driver to join our warehouse team. The Forklift Driver will be responsible for operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move, locate, stack, and count merchandise while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to load and offload household goods cargo from trucks and trailers into and out of the warehouse.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure shipments are protected according to company standards.
- Use the warehouse scanning system to scan items into and out of storage.
- Experience with stacking and handling cargo in wooden vaults.
- Maintain accurate inventory logs and management records.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including daily warehouse cleaning.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
- Any other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Forklift Certification required.
- Prior experience in the moving industry preferred.
- Experience working with wooden vaults.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to safety and detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to reliably commute to Viele Ave, Bronx, NY 10474.
Salary: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, weekends as needed. 8-hour, 10-hour, 12-hour shifts. Overtime will be paid in accordance with New York State labor laws.
Work Location: In-person; Bronx, NY, 10474.
